A man viciously beat up his wife for refusing to go with his friends after he missed her in a gamble, police said Sunday.
In a request to report a first information report (FIR) with the police, Mehvish stated that her husband, Ali Raza, is a drug addict and gambler who, on Saturday night, entered a gambling game with 3 of his friends.
In the gamble, Ali Raza bet Mehvish, his wife and the complainant, in the game and lost. In spite of this, when she rejected to accompany her husband’s friends, he beat her up and assaulted her with a sharp weapon, throwing away her with extreme injuries.
Police, alternatively, said they have submitted the FIR depending on the woman’s medical report and the request she provided. The suspect has been arrested, they said.
