Rock band Junoon makes many comebacks recently – they’ve completed one-off concerts, they’ve created modern video clips for older music, and currently, it looks like they’ve lastly managed to put together the latest track. Taking to Facebook yesterday, singer Ali Azmat publicized, "Am proud to present this news with you that Junoon is working together on a track for the very first time in fifteen yrs to support the Pakistan Cricket Team !”
Yep, after the iconic Jazba-e-Junoon, the band is set to pay a new tribute to our brilliant cricket team as it heads for the World Cup that kicks off in England next week. In a video shared with the press release, Ali says of the song: "This song is for people from all over Pakistan, particularly those people who are marginalized. Pakistan also belongs to them .”
Junoon founder and guitarist Salman Ahmed declared, "We have come together for the unity of Pakistan. Our cricket team will hold its head up high .” The song’s launch date is yet to be publicized.
