Liam Dawson smashed a last ball boundary off pacer Mohammad Sami to clinch a great 4 wicket win for Peshawar Zalmi over Islamabad United in the HBL PSL here Friday, states a PCB release.
Dawson, who smashed 35-ball 52 not out with 3 sixes and several boundaries, kept his cool to give Peshawar their fifth win in 7 games and the first team to get 10 points. They also maintained their top position on the table.
But Sammy was equally as heroic with 29-ball 40 with 2 sixes and several boundaries. He helped Dawson clinch the game with a partnership of 89 in 8.2 overs.
The league has a 2 day rest before the last 4 matches — two each on Monday and Tuesday — are going to be played in Abu Dhabi.
