GHALANAI: About 51 candidates, adding in 2 former senators, have filed nomination papers for the 2 provincial assembly seats of PK-103 Mohmand-I and PK-104 Mohmand-II. The elections are planned to be held on July 2.
Former senator Hafiz Rasheed Ahmad of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl filed his nomination for PK-103 while former senator Abdur Rehman Faqir and his son Noman Faqir have filed their documents for PK-104 seats of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. 2 local journalists, including Lower Mohmand media club president Mehboob Sher and also Tafseer Khan, also filed their nomination documents for PK-103 and PK-104, respectively.
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has filed a minimum of eleven nomination documents for PK-104 and 3 for PK-103. Moreover, 4 nominees of PPP and 3 nominees all of PML-N, JI, JUI-F, and ANP are in the run for the 2 seats. Some self-dependent nominees, included Senator Hilal Rehman and his brother former MNA Bilal Rehman, have also filed nomination documents for each the constituencies.
Foods PACKAGE: Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Mohmand chapter, with the support of Kuwait Red Crescent Society distributed food offers among the deserving families here the other day. PRCS local program officer Irfanullah along with volunteers participated in the delivery ceremony held at the society’s office in Ekkaghund.
Mr. Irfanullah declared that they had arranged the set of deserving families for the food packages. He declared that food packages were distributed in Ekkaghund, Prang Ghar, Pandiali, Ambar and other places.
